Here are some photos from my trip to Kyoto during Golden Week. Golden Week was from the end of April to the beginning of May. I know, it's taken me forever to post them... No excuses, more to come.
This is the largest wooden structure in the world.
This is Shosei-en Garden.
Geisha in Gion!
Yasaka jinja, I think.
A random little gate on the street.
Buddha at the World War II Memorial for the Unknown Soldier.
The view from Kiyomizu Dera. It means clear water temple. Dera means temple and jinja means shrine. I still don't know the difference between the two.
Hello! My name is Jessica but if you’re reading this blog you probably already know that. Anyway, I’m fresh out of college and ready for an adventure halfway across the world. Well, I was fresh out of college… If I graduated 8 months ago am I still fresh out of college? I guess it doesn’t matter. What does matter is that I’ll be spending a year in Hiroshima, Japan teaching English. So check back here often and we’ll see how that goes!
