Iwakuni, Yukata Festival, and some Okayama Mountains

Kintaikyo Bridge. (Actually I think kyo means bridge. So in English it's really Kintai Bridge but Kintaikyo sounds so much better).

Me in my yukata (summer kimono) at the festival.

Mariko's mom tied the obi for me. Such a cute bow!

And Mariko did the hair.

I was recently back in Okayama for more training. We went up to the mountains to stay at an inn. It had a really pretty view.

What else can I update you on? Well... I got a bike! It's been nice riding it around and exploring more of the city.
All in all things are still pretty good. Although I am still busy at work. We have parent observations this week and the next so it's a tad stressful having a lots of hyper kids and their parents in one small room but I'm hoping after the observations are over things will finally mellow. Although summer is our busy season...
Anyway, I'm really enjoying my time here in Japan. I noticed I wasn't posting as much these past few months so hopefully these June posts will make up for it.
The rainy season has started in Japan but at least today it brought the temperature down. But I am not used to this humidity. I bought these plastic containers that suck the moisture out of the air. You can see the water level in them. I have about 7 of them in various places in my apartment. They are all almost full....
I'll keep you posted :)
