One of the views from Itsukushima-jinja. If you look up sake on wikipedia it shows a picture of dedicated sake at this shrine. I've seen those jugs of sake in real life!!
There are quite a few houses close to the shrine at Miyajima. It's strange because there were tons of tourists roaming the streets and then a mail truck drove by and the driver was so patient, trying not to hit anyone.
Atop Mt. Misen.
One of the ropeways we took to the top of Mt. Misen.
I wanted a picture with the deer but he was moving too fast.
Hello! My name is Jessica but if you’re reading this blog you probably already know that. Anyway, I’m fresh out of college and ready for an adventure halfway across the world. Well, I was fresh out of college… If I graduated 8 months ago am I still fresh out of college? I guess it doesn’t matter. What does matter is that I’ll be spending a year in Hiroshima, Japan teaching English. So check back here often and we’ll see how that goes!
