I Made It To Japan

So I made it! I'm here and I live in Japan. I'm still in Okayama for training (which hasn't started yet) and I won't be in Hiroshima until the end of the week. Everyone is so friendly here and polite. Super super polite. Even though they don't speak English all the people I've dealt with in the two days I've been here have found some way to communicate with me and never made it seem like a hassle.
You might be wondering how I am updating my blog now. Well, I found the international center here in Okayama and the good news is... free internet! There's also an international center in Hiroshima so I hope it's the same set up. That way I hope completely be isolated from everyone until I get it set up in my apartment. I'll try and update more and upload pictures later but for now, Sayonara!

UPDATE: As I type I am currently sitting across from a very nice older Japanese businessman who is trying to communicate with me and another teacher here. He is searching through a book he has trying to find a word to ask us a question about where we're going... I think. So much dedication just to have a conversation with us!

  1. Sensei Jessica, You be careful with those nice older Japanese businessmen. First they smile at you and next thing you know, you're their Geisha Girl!
