Here are some of the pictures I promised. Finally. These are from when I was in Okayama for training.
This is in the famous Okayama garden. Apparently it's one of Japan's top three. Unfortunately they had just killed all of the grass to get rid of insects so everything was brown. They say it looks wonderful in spring. They say.

Okayama castle. It is unique because it is black. When the tour guide asked us if we saw anything unusual about the castle we said no. He said, "But it's black." We had to explain that this was the first Japanese castle we'd ever seen.
After taking those Japanese princess photos the woman who dressed us up brought us over here to take more photos. Would have looked even better if I still had that kimono.
